Russia's Doomsday Radio UVB-76 *January 15*

It has been transmitting since the days of the Cold War until it went eerily dormant for years. Now, this radio has awakened. For over fifty years, a mysterious shortwave station has droned on frequency 4625 kHz, emitting a monotonous buzz 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Known to radio enthusiasts as UVB-76 or simply "The Buzzer," this Cold War relic has earned a far more ominous nickname: Russia's Doomsday Radio.

We explore the station's shadowy history, from its origins in the Soviet era to its relocation following military reorganizations.
